LC WILL host W-W in First Round

** NOW FINAL PER GHSA ** Preliminary power ratings indicated that Lincoln County may host Washington-Wilkes in the first round of the Class A Public playoffs. The seedings may change in the final version set to be released by the GHSA Monday.

Using preliminary power ratings from a trusted source, and adjusting for region champions, these will be the first round pairings for teams seeded 9 through 24:

24@9 - Marion Co at Twiggs Co - winner plays at Manchester
23@10 - Trion at Taylor Co - winner plays at Commerce
22@11 - WW at LC - winner plays at McIntosh Co. Academy
21@12 - Irwin Co at Dooly Co - winner plays at Mt. Zion (Carroll)
20@13 - Bowdon at Miller Co - winner plays at ECI
19@14 - Wheeler Co at Greene Co - winner plays at Pelham
18@15 - Randolph-Clay at Mitchell Co - winner plays at Clinch Co
17@16 - Terrell Co at Turner Co - winner plays at Macon Co

The top 8 teams have an off-week before hosting the winners of the above games on November 18:

1. Macon County
2. Clinch County
3. Pelham
4. ECI (lost coin-flip to Calvary Baptist for 3-A region championship)
5. Mount Zion (Carroll)
6. McIntosh County Academy
7. Commerce
8. Manchester


Based on these preliminary ratings, four 7-A public schools will make the playoffs. Warren finished at #34.

For the privates, Tattnall Square is #7 with a bye this coming Friday. Stratford Academy is #12 and will host Holy Innocents. Aquinas is #16 and will host #17 First Presbyterian.
