Lincoln County High has the best winning percentage in Georgia high school football considering schools with at least 200 games played.
Lincoln County High has a winning mark of 82.6%. Valdosta is second at 79.2%, with Grayson third at 75.1%. LCHS is 507-105-5 since its first season in 1970. The Red Devils went 10-17-1 from 1970 to 1972, which makes the overall mark that much more impressive.
The above is based on information published in the Georgia High School Football Daily, which uses data from the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. The GHSFHA separates Lincoln County and Lincolnton because of the name difference.
Of course, this website believes the two should be considered together, since today's Red Devils play on (generally) the same piece of dirt that Lincolnton's 1922 team used. Back then it was Dr. May's cow pasture.
