As time passes, some things change while others remain the same. For one reason or another, some of the Red Devils' football traditions have been ended and lost. For example, many Lincoln fans will remember the team being led onto the field by Mr. Frank's old Devilmobile. Or a cannon being fired before the game (until we almost got a referee with it!). Another tradition may be lost next season, as the Devils will not have a home-side "tunnel" to enter through for warm-ups. Here's our question: How did Lincoln fans celebrate touchdowns in the early 1960's? A newspaper article for the 1962 state championship game was headlined with a note about that particular tradition. Does anyone know when this tradition started, or when it ended?
