Marion Aycock has supported Red Devil athletics as a midget-mite coach, cameraman, and field manager.
Marion has been a vocational instructor at Lincoln County High School for many years. He's used his expertise to improve the looks of Buddy Bufford Field, and to prepare the field for each home game.
But he does much more for the football program. For several years Marion has coached one of the midget-mite football teams, where future Red Devils get their first taste of organized football. For several years Marion was also the Devils' cameraman in the pressbox.
During games, Marion helps out with equipment problems or anything else that needs doing. Twice in 2002 he has been seen driving the Cheerleaders' Red Devil Express train before home games.
Marion has always been a civic leader. Before he graduated from high school, he helped improve the school grounds on his own time. He has been a volunteer fireman for the City of Lincolnton for many years, and currently serves as the city's Fire Chief.
