Hero: Victor Elam

June 02, 2003

Victor Elam joins other outstanding Red Devils in our esteemed Hall of Heroes.

As nominated by Antonio Blackwell, LCHS Class of '87:

Victor Elam, was arguably the best combination cover/run support Cornerback ever to play the position at Lincoln County High School. There are far to many memories for me to recall of teams changing their game plans because of number "87" being on the football field. During the latter part of the 1986 State Championship season, Victor became one of our most complete players and therefore enabling us to achieve the Famed "Championship Double" as members of the 1986 team will remember.
