Travis Clark Signs with Southern Miss

As part of National Signing Day, Travis Clark inked his scholarship offer today with the University of Southern Mississippi, Conference USA champions.

Travis and his family visited the USM campus in Hattiesburg earlier this month, and a scholarship offer was made last weekend. Reports indicate Travis accepted the offer last Monday night. Southern Miss appeared in the Liberty Bowl this past December, and appeared on ESPN 5 times in 2003. Travis looks to be red-shirted in 2004, and possibly become the starter as a sophomore in 2006.

Travis, considered by many as the best quarterback to play at Lincoln County, may be the first Red Devil QB to receive a Division I scholarship.
