Larry Campbell and Dan Pitts are the two most winningest coaches in the history of Georgia high school football.

Coach Campbell has been the Red Devil head coach since 1972, and Coach Pitts is a Lincolnton native and former Devil player.

Now here's our question: what else, related to Lincolnton and football, do these two great coaches have in common?

ANSWER:

This question proved to be harder than we expected, as no one answered it correctly. The answer is that they were both Red Devil assistants the year before they began their head coaching careers. Dan in 1958 for LHS, and Larry in 1971 for LCHS.
