TLJ: L. H. S. TO OPEN FOOTBALL SEASON IN HARTWELL 26TH. Lincolnton High School will open the football season on Friday, October 26th, against Hartwell, in Hartwell. The team, although light and to a great extent, inexperienced, is showing up splendidly in practice, and will give its opponent trouble aplenty before the season gets old. The team will be made up from the following high school boys: Pete Cunningham, Ben Hill Ivey, Isreal Berger, Thomas Smalley, High Moss, Hayes Wansley, Harold Bentley, Henry Goodsby, Edmund Dill, Frank Murray, Carl Ivey, William Candler, James Couch, H. W. Moss, James Harnesberger, Homer Hammond, J. V. Stroud, Maurice Griffin, William Kirkland, Karley Long, and Thomas Hogan.
